I found this old car at an antique store, and decided that Papa would want to give it to Liam our grandson for Christmas. When I bought it the paint was oxydized so Papa took it apart and re-painted it, it turned out so cute.

This was what I was feverishly creating. It is an afghan that I made for my Step-son and daughter-in-law. Back in October I decided I had the itch to crochet, so I looked on line for some patterns. Found this one and decided "it's just a bunch of Granny Squares I can do that". Yes, just a bunch of Granny Squares, approximately 500 of them. Well, several times I thought I had bit off more than I could chew, but I just kept going, till finally I had finished it. It turned out beautiful, I am so proud of it. I'm now thinking I might actually make one for me, and enter it at the fair. That is, if I can get it done in time.

We love our gifts!
Very pretty! I keep telling myself that SOME DAY I will learn to knit or crochet, but that day has yet to come. I guess since I'm not dead yet, there's still hope!
